Our cotton cat caves are washable. Both the size and the material allow them to be cleaned in a washing machine. However, the foam filling absorbs a lot of water during washing, making the cat cave very heavy. For this reason, we recommend a full machine wash only if there has been a small accident.
After washing, the cat cave can be dried in a tumble dryer. This has an added benefit: the cotton surface becomes especially soft and fluffy again.
For regular cleaning, it is much easier to wash only the removable cushion or an extra blanket placed inside the cat cave. Both can be cleaned easily and help keep your cat's favorite resting place fresh and comfortable.
